What All Media Kit's MUST Include!

One of the most challenging, yet extremely important aspects of growing your brand is being able to stand out among the ever-flourishing community of influencers. PR companies and brands receive an endless amount of pitch emails every day, so it's vital that you are putting your absolute best self forward to set yourself apart from other bloggers and increase your chances of landing that dream collab! The best way to do this is by attaching your media kit along with your pitch email. For those of you who don't know, a media kit is sort of like your "resume," as an influencer.  It's basically a summary of you, your blog, your personal brand, and more. It's such an important tool to have when you're pitching yourself to brands because it gives them a deeper look into who you are, and what your brand is all about! Not to mention, it emits a level of professionalism, which will easily impress a potential brand partner! Now that we’ve established the importance of including a media kit, here is a list of what you should include in your media kit:

About You/Your Bio: Brands and advertisers want to know more about the person and blog reaching out to them. Typically you should include how long you’ve been blogging, the topics you write about, and any info that might appeal to a particular advertiser. Be personal and make it about the brand! It’s important for you to give off the impression that you can provide value to the advertiser you want to work with.

Statistics: Brands want to know what kind of results they can expect when working with you. This helps give the brand insight into how many people are viewing your blog or social media posts. Some stats you should include in your media kit are: reach, impressions, monthly page views, and number of followers (just to name a few).

Recent Partnerships/Collabs: This is where you get to talk about yourself and all of the fun projects you have done with other brands. If you’ve had successful campaigns, it would be a great idea to list the stats from the specific projects you’ve done. This is also a great place to include any testimonials or reviews from past brands.

Rates & Services: Let’s not forget the FUN STUFF. It’s important to list the services you offer such as social media feed promotion, Instagram story, full blog post, etc. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box! Brands are always looking for fun, creative ways to work with influencers. You should also list prices next to each of these services which helps set expectations with the brand you’re looking to work with and allows them to see what can fit in their budget.
